I was expecting some strong fruit funkiness here, and this did not disappoint. The flavor was more complex though - I got a wine vibe on the finish, which must be the cabernet that was mentioned. I...

I really enjoyed this one! Up there in my personal rankings with the Honey processed and washed Ethiopian coffees. In the first sips, I think I got the toasted cocunut note and not much else, but t...
@Alan Carpenter I noticed a lot of acidity on the tongue that fell off as it cooled, and I didn't get any of the tropical fruit until the last few sips.
This coffee had a distinct nutty smell but ended up tasting very fruity and sweet. I'm not getting coconut at all but absolutely some kind of tropical fruit. there is also a lot of acid here at lea...
I like the word complex for this. I get the coconut more in the aftertaste than anything. I'm not a big wine drinker, so the cabernet is lost on me, but I can taste a thicker berry/grape flavor, wh...
Like this one. Nose of rum fruitcake...I can find the mangoes on the pallet
Getting a really strong, kind of astringent wine and chocolate cherry flavor with this one but it's losing its luster when it cools down, so my recommendation is to drink it while it's still hot.
@Stephen Sallas read this at first as cabaret, as in a cabaret of flavors - also apt!
More natural fruity bangers please 😃. My favorite coffee so far 👍.
I brewed this in my Chemex with the standard white filter paper. The coffee is potent, sweet, and fruity. I can pick up some sweet grapefruit like citrus notes, dark cooking chocolate, a molasses l...
This is definitely off the beaten path for Onyx and not flavors that I would choose. Extracted as a 2:1 29g 26s shot aimed to be slightly underextracted to reduce the concentration of t...
Even though I typically lean towards lighter roasts, I was excited to try the foreboding Krampus. I was pleasantly suprised! The roasty, tobacco-esque notes are dominant, but the burnt sugar and ch...
The flavor profile from Onyx is right on. I can taste all of the flavor profiles above. I taste the grape and strawberries right away and as it lingers and I slurp it, I get the honey a...
Like all the other Kenyan coffees, this one just missed the mark for me. My first cup was a V60 per recommendations, and it took it completely cooling down for me to pick up any other notes than an...
This kind of roast isn't usually my thing, but I enjoyed this one more than I thought. Definitely got more of the toasty, chocolate vibe than the strong fruitiness of most of the other coffees, but...
This one as others have said is interesting. Heavy notes of tobacco, in fact if you smell the bag after emptying the beans it straight up smells like a cigarette. I'm getting burnt sugars and tobac...
Does anybody brew with the Double recipe? I'm finding it strange that the grind size never varies for the double but it does for the single. I've been using my Fellow Stagg XF with 50...
Brewed as prescribed but in the fellow stagg XF. Getting heavy tobacco notes while hot and stronger chocolate taste when cool. This is definitely one of the most interesting brews so far. Moved up ...
Heavy tobacco notes for me, with the burnt citrus at the end. This one is that kind of bizarreness I'm absolutely here for. Cool coffee, Onyx!
I was a little nervous to try today's because it seemed different than a lot of the previous days' coffees. I'm pleasantly surprised. I can definitely taste the chocolate cake when I think about it...
Chocolate cake is a great tasting note. Great video too today - loving this coffee. Bought a set of the Krampus/Framily duo as a gift for friends... but might be keeping it 🤫
Been waiting for this day since i saw the word Krampus thinking what the heck is that?! This has moved into my 1st place. Juicy and Sweet to the nose. Very reminiscent of a Kenyan. Dens...
Really enjoyed this one. Loved yesterday's also - may have been my favorite, though I m really enjoying every day with this adventure! I figured out early on that, for me, the single cu...
Was actually brewing with these beans in the weeks leading up to the advent calendar, so I when I saw it at day 12, I knew it'd be like returning to an old friend. This cup consistently has ...
