Public Tasting - Understanding Coffee Processing
Led by the Onyx Coffee Lab Roasting and QC Team, this 1.5 hour public cupping is designed to deepen your understanding of coffee processing and how it shapes flavor in the cup. Together, we’ll explore the most common processing methods used around the world and break down how each one influences sweetness, acidity, texture, and overall quality.
Participants will learn how coffee professionals cup coffee, why cupping is such a critical evaluation tool, and how to apply these techniques to better articulate personal preferences. The class will include a guided cupping of several coffees from our catalog, with a focus on tasting differences driven by processing style in an approachable, discussion-based setting.
Classes will take place in person at our Headquarters in Rogers, Arkansas.
