Over the past several years, Juan Peña has established himself as a leading figure in Ecuadorian coffee, consistently earning recognition for his exceptional production. Though his journey in coffee spans just over a decade, the foundation of his success lies in a pivotal decision: transitioning Hacienda La Papaya from rose cultivation to coffee after a failed harvest. That shift marked the beginning of the farm’s rise as one of Ecuador’s most respected producers.
