Welcome friends to this year’s Advent Calendar. We can all agree that 2020 hasn’t been the best year, but all of that is about to change. Onyx’s 3rd edition Advent Calendar is ready for preorder featuring 24 unique single-origin coffees with a wide range of processing methods, origins, and varieties. Each day for 24 days you will get a two oz bag of whole bean coffee. Two ounces (about 56 grams) is the perfect amount of coffee for one pot or one Chemex.
FRESHNESS! Worried about freshness? We will be nitro-flushing all of the coffees, which basically keeps the coffee fresh until the bag is opened. Stop stressing.
RULES! Yes, even Christmas has rules. We can’t change the order of the coffees or make any substitutions. All coffee is whole bean so get that grinder prepped and ready. This will allow maximum freshness, flavor, and extractions.
SHIPPING! The calendars will ship at the end of November, so you'll be able to start brewing on December 1st. Anything else ordered with this will ship right away. We will make sure it leaves with extra time this year from the roastery considering the state of logistics right now.
COFFEE! Now that we have all of the rules and logistics worked out, let’s talk about the coffee lineup. Around March of each year, we start thinking about what the lineup of Advent will consist of and how to make it happen. Despite the global pandemic making it difficult to visit our friends to cup coffees and share some meals, we were able to source two dozen great coffees for the calendar.
